We are Cree from the Mayappo family living in the vast territory of Eeyou Istchee Baie-James in Northern Quebec. A territory as big as Germany and on which we have been staying with our ancestors for more than 6,000 years.
We are the guardians of nature in the northern taiga. The family territory is 115 km long. I am Angus Mayappo, your guide at Shammy Adventures. I am also the tallyman. This wild territory with dozens of rivers and hundreds of lakes is attached to the community of Wemindji (4 hours drive, located on James Bay).
Come discover, in summer-autumn-winter, our millennial ways of living in nature and the rich culture bequeathed by our ancestors.
